Hatcher Pass Cabin Since 1975: A Luxury Vacation Full Of Comfort

In the beginning there was nothing but woods and potato farming first established back in the 1970’s by the Spainish family and other Alaskan homesteaders. Around the year 1975, Kenneth Downs first started riding snow machines in the Hatcher Pass mountain range. Needless to say, he fell in love with the area and decided to soon acquire his own piece of land up the Hatcher Pass road near the Snowbird Subdivision.

In the beginning, there was nothing but rugged mountains, dense forest, and stretches of open terrain first explored and settled in the 1970s by the Spainish family and other Alaskan homesteaders. Around 1975, Kenneth Downs began riding snow machines through the dramatic slopes and wooded trails of the Hatcher Pass range. It didn’t take long for him to fall in love with the wild beauty of the area. Soon after, he secured his own plot of land near the Snowbird Subdivision along Hatcher Pass road.
